Small Caps Fall Farther Behind

The Russell 2000 is on pace for a 3.3% weekly decline, shut shy of its loss during the week that ended Aug. 18. If it slips any farther, it will notch its worst week since March, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
The Russell is up about 5.5% this year, compared with a 16% advance by the S&P 500. The large-cap benchmark is down roughly 1% for the week.
