U.S. stocks were lower around midday after fresh economic data showed job openings fell in February to below 10 million.
The S&P 500 fell 0.7% at noon ET, according to FactSet. Nine of the index’s 11 sectors were in the red.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost roughly 250 points or 0.8%. while the Nasdaq Composite shed 0.5%.
The 10 Year yield was at 3.352% from 3.430% from late Monday, while the trending stocks today are:
Virgin Orbit (VORB): Richard Branson’s satellite-launching company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and said it was working to sell itself. Shares fell over 17% in early trading.
AMC Entertainment (AMC): The movie-theater operator said it had agreed to settle a lawsuit brought by shareholders. The move will allow the company to convert its preferred equity units, known as APEs, into common stock. AMC shares, which took off in the meme-stock craze, sank 22% .
Walmart (WMT): The retailer begins a two-day investor meeting Tuesday. Its shares edged lower.
