Major U.S. stock indexes slipped early Thursday after strong jobs data supported the case for further Federal Reserve tightening.
The S&P 500 lost 0.7%. The Dow industrials fell 0.8%, or about 280 points.
The Nasdaq Composite dipped 0.9%.
The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield was at 3.767% from late Wednesday’s 3.709%.
