Recent self-driving tech developers are into the latest demand on so called autonomous lasers which enable a vehicle to “see” its surroundings, a critical safety layer that helps cars pilot themselves, freeing up drivers to check emails.
Laser sensors can also improve the performance of existing safety features like automatic emergency braking, Luminar says.
Many automakers have preferred Luminar sensors, into their vehicles to enable automated driving features.
