Chip Supply Situation to Improve by mid ’22

Nvidia Corp. said it will be in a better position to fill all of the orders covering last six months of the year as chip supply improves.

“In the second half of 2022 we believe we’ll be in great shape in terms of supply,” Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress said at the J.P. Morgan Tech/Auto Conference. “Demand has exceeded supply primarily in our gaming business.”

Like other chip-makers who outsource their production, Nvidia has struggled to secure enough access to supply to meet demand.

According to Bloomberg, Nvidia has been working hard with its manufacturing partners to redress that balance.

The company had a strong season, along with surge in demand from gamers and smartphone industry, as well; as the demand from the crypto mining, that  exceeded expectations amid bitcoin reaching all time high in September 21
